A chance encounter and a brief chat about food waste and sustainability led to us teaming up with the incredible sugar slingers at Yum Cakes bakery in Derry last year. We mixed their amazing leftovers and off cuts with a big hefty stout malt bill of Irish pale malt, oats, chocolate and roasted barley. After primary fermentation we aged the rich black nectar in ex mezcal tequila barrels before packaging. This liquid chocolate cake has a big, punchy, cocoa and oak aroma with lots of dark sugar and more chocolate on tasting. Thick, sweet and decadent. Who needs cake?
Refrigerate on delivery. Especially the hoppy ones.
