Buckwheat Grain Wine - Aged in Tennessee Whiskey Barrels

In 2025, we’re continuing our experimental grain wine series — but this time, we’re doing something truly unconventional.
Meet the buckwheat edition: a plant native to Asia, not technically a grain, yet often used as one thanks to its wheat-like seeds.

We used malted buckwheat in the base beer, then aged it in Tennessee Whiskey barrels until it reached its perfect, rich, grain wine character.
Don’t confuse this with traditional “buckwheat wine” — this isn’t distilled or fermented like wine. It’s a beer-based grain wine, showcasing the earthy, nutty depth of buckwheat, beautifully rounded by warm vanilla and oak notes from the whiskey barrels.
