We were honoured to be invited to Mikkeller’s world famous beer festival in Copenhagen this Spring. We really admire what Mikkeller has achieved and the inspiration they have been for many brewers especially in the early days of craft beer. We were even more honoured when we heard they would like to work with us on a killer Irish stout recipe for their bars. This recipe has the classic little twist people expect from a Mikkeller recipe but we stayed true to the style and ensured it has a nice easy drinkability with blackcurrant not overpowering the beer. We used a complex recipe with 9 different malts layered to create an engaging stout that stands out but doesn’t tire you out. Finished with a nice little hop bitterness zip from the classic English hops. The blackcurrant then adds a little sweetness and tartness at the end which is in perfect balance with the rich malts.
Refrigerate on delivery. Especially the hoppy ones.
