Zealand Pale Ale is this year’s Malt Stars beer, created by Jan Oppenheuser & Mathis Seliger as part of To Øl’s annual in-house beer “talent show”. Each year, people across the brewery get the chance to develop and pitch their own beer ideas, with one selected beer brewed and released as a limited edition.

The brief was to highlight one particular ingredient or supplier. Jan & Mathis chose New Zealand hops from Freestyle, building Zealand Pale Ale around bright, aromatic hop character and a clear raw material focus.
