Apple pie is now moving from the barrels to your glasses. The apex of the Hungry for Apples trilogy is this apple cider-based mead, where honey and apples meet in whiskey and maple syrup barrels to open up new dimensions. The Tennessee whiskey barrel adds oak and vanilla depth, while the maple syrup barrel layers the apple pie character with silky sweetness and toffee tones.
The project was launched in collaboration with Germany's very own Sudden Death brewery during Budapest Beer Week 2025, while the Tiny Barrel Project tradition continues this time within the walls of Budapest's Corvin Gastro Pub, as these barrel-aged releases always take their final form through the hands of a friend or partner venue. The result is not just mead, but a culinary cyser experience: apple, honey, oak, whiskey, and maple syrup in a single, concentrated sip.
