West Coast IIPA Conditioned on American Oak, w/ Krush • 8% ABV
We got together with Troy at Badlands Brewing to brew up a very unique West Coast IIPA. We wanted to find a way to incorporate oak into a Westie without oxidizing the beer in barrels. For this recipe, and to bring the oak, we disassembled several white oak barrels and submerged them into the fermentation tank for the ale to condition upon. To finish it, we dryhopped with a load of Krush from Yakima Chief hops. The oak brings a touch of vanilla and coconut that balances perfectly with notes of stone fruit, berries and citrus from the Krush.

Refrigerate on delivery. Especially the hoppy ones.
